£700 price increase within the past month???

Hi guys was there a price increase in the past few weeks, I got a price from a retailer at the weekend (14th May) and the base price for the car with no extra's was £21,321 (including vat) I got a quote 4 weeks ago from a different dealer (15th of April) of £20,620 thats a difference of £701. Sorry if this has already been mentioned (I thought the price increase was way back in February, or has there been another 1 since?)
