Hi guys just checking to see if any of you bought your car from or know anyone who has purchased from any of these companies. I notice they are considerably cheaper than the average dealer. I'm from N. Ireland and would probably have to travel over and collect the car but I dont see that as being a problem if there are such savings to be had. Dealers over here don't seem to care whether you buy from them or not, I have tried about 8-10 dealers and some are not interested in giving discount at all, some let on they are interested in your car then offer peanuts for it and some don't even bother returning your call

I know people who have used dealdrivers.co.uk and they're pretty good. I would have used them but the local dealer managed to beat the price.
All dealdrivers do is source a car from a dealer and get it delivered to your door - not sure if it costs extra in NI though....
Guess it's worth getting a quote though to see. They're doing the 2.0GT DSG for £19,949, so not too great, only a small 4% off... But you can use that as a starting point and phone a few UK dealers up and get them all playing against each other.
I managed around 9% in the end after phoning about 3 dealers...

I initially paid Broadspeed their £299 fee but didn't buy through them and had no problems in getting my fee back.
They put me in touch with a dealer in Ayrshire.
I know this is not the answer to a question you asked, but thought letting you know that they do what they say on the website may give some confidence in Broadspeed.
I used their email quote to show dealers what they had to beat and emailed them, starting with the most local. Someone somewhere will need to shift a car, it's just a matter of finding them.
Good luck

Thanks for the replys guys

still finding Autoebid the cheapest so far though trying to strike up a deal with one of my local dealers. He really made the effort today, travelled 30-40 miles to look/value my car and brought a nice rising blue Rocco for me to test-drive. All we need now is to strike up a good deal, I had to send him back to the calculator this evening lol so hopefully he'll come back tomorrow & treat me right

If anything you were doing the salesman a favour by letting him drive it 30-40miles to you!
Good luck with the negotiation!

When i ordered back in June 08 my local dealers wouldn't even contemplate a discount on the Roc, nobody was. So i placed an order with them. Due to the Xenon delay after 8 weeks i was no further forward in getting a build date, by that time deals started to appear. Specced my car with Broadspeed and went armed with this to the dealer, they still didn't want to give me a discount so i cancelled my order, had my deposit back and ordered through Broadspeed. Once the £299 was paid to Broadspeed i got a call within a couple of hours from the supplying VW dealer, which was in Cardiff. The rest of the process was dealt with by the dealer, no further contact with Broadspeed. Even after taking into account the Broadspeed fee i saved £1700. The car turned up on time, the dealer accomodated everything i asked for (No dealer stickers / Ipod cable) etc........ The handover was very smooth and i got to know the car on the drive back up from Cardiff in convey with my old man. Dealers these days may be more open to negotiation, i know some guys have managed to get some good deals from main dealers recently.
