Sawtooth wear - dangerous or not?

Some advice needed, please, guys. My 2012 TDI 170 suffered from the usual sawtooth wear on the rear tyres. I've got 37,500 miles out of the tyres so far and they still have around 4-5mm of tread left (these are the original P7s) so when i just had my front tyres replaced I had the new ones put on the back and the old ones moved to the front (as per general recommendation). The tyre noise usually associated with sawtooth wear has moved to the front and is a bit more obvious now that I've removed the soundaktor, but I can live with that. The problem is, when I'm slowing down (regardless of whether or not I'm applying the brakes), there's a sort of mild 'vibration' feeling through the steering wheel (that's the only way I can describe it) and a sound like a turbine spooling down (again, it's mild and that's the only way I can describe it). So, the exam question here is, given that the evidence suggests that all this is associated with the particular wear pattern on the tyres, and given that these are my driving/main braking wheels, is it dangerous ?

The sawtooth is generally caused by your rear suspension alignment so i would be getting an alignment check done on the car from a reputable independent, i notice you car has been lowered so assume it was done at the time

The general effect on the sawtooth is it feels like a vibration due to an incorrectly balanced wheel

Personally I would have changed all four and not put on the front given the uneven wear as you are just going to to get the effects transferred through the steering
