Stupid question?

Had my scirocco for a few days now !
What is the sliding button on the top of the wiper stalk for ?
I haven't really had a chance to do much but drive the car but I didn't notice anything when I flicked it.

It adjusts the sensitivity of the rain sensor for the auto wiper function (stalk one click up)
Have a read of the manual:-)

Yes and no matter where you adjust it to they go barmy and make you look like an incompetent driver with your wipers goin super sonic when as peter kay would say "its spitting"
Wish it just had a normal intermittent setting.
