Can anyone give me a few pointers. I got my car 2 x weeks ago. Its a 60 plate (2010) 1.4 TSI. I had bought Philips Extreme bulbs in advance of my purchase..........however I need help



If my lights are in 'auto'. Lights 1 and 3 are on. If I turn the switch to 'off' the same lights remain on. If I turn the lights to 'sidelights'., No.3 stays on and No.1 goes off. That is the only way I can get the dipped(?) lights to go off. No. 2 is my main beams, which I now will fit the Philips bulbs to. Is this light set-up a 'mod' ? If so, is it an OEM mod? My 'sidelights' appear to be No.3 and if I try to adjust the level of the dipped beam lights via the dash, there is no movement. The dipped beams are very very white. Xenon?

Without VCD changes the lights can never be turned off and will remain on. I'm sure there will be someone on here willing to help out if they're local to you

I'm in the same boat, recently purchased my Rocco.
And I'm totally confused about the lights, I have done a bit of digging and found out the lights are constantly on as they are daytime running lights and a VAGCOM is needed to change that?
Would love confirmation of all this btw.

Basically, I want to turn the DRLs to be the sidelights (looks like you already have LEDs?) a mod I've been looking at this evening, any advice from users would be much appreciated about this.
But then the Auto-lights to work as they should (so switch to dipped beams when suitably dark), then change the bulbs to Osram nightbreakers unlimited for that white, rather than yellow look.
With these mods, do you think it'd be smart to change the fog light bulbs too?

Any advice would be hugely appreciated!

Also, is there a selling page through this forum or even something of like a regional break down?
