new shock absorber cost?

Hi there. Had a service on my scirocco 170 tdi and realised I need a new rear shock absorber as it is knocking really bad. Anyone know how much genuine barebones are? Thanks Dan

They are about £145 + VAT. I looked recently as I thought mine needed replacing, but fortunately not!
