Thankfully not my rocco but we had a customer come in yesterday after he hit a pot hole in his rocco while driving on the a1 near Leeds. His 19" Dunlop didn't take it well but it was on the legal limit, not that he knew though!

Alloy bent as well?
Looks creased around where the tyre is deformed...

I did just the same thing before Xmas and cost me £166 to replace a nearly new tyre.

You need to contact Balfour Beatty and ask for the department that deals with the damaged road surface complaints. They have the contract to deal with the claims on behalf of the Highways Agency. You will need photos and exact location of the pot hole, photos of your damage and the bill for getting it replaced. I would suggest keeping the old tyre as well at least until the claim is settled.

Gutted.. Had a very similar experience myself.. It managed to scratch all the alloy aswell.. After paying £500 in road tax it makes me wonder what it actually goes on as it doesn't seem to be the roads!!

Road Tax was abolished in 1926 and ever since then it has had nothing to do with roads. VED, is just a tax based on emissions, for using a car.

Believe it or not the UK is one of the cheaper countries. Just ask anyone in the Republic of Ireland:-)

Not to mention the 50% duty on the petrol then the 20% tax on top of that Duty. Criminals!
Ooh and Council tax.
Roads round where I live are so bad you wouldn't notice if a bomb went off in the road.
