Hey guys, I pick up my Scirocco on Saturday and I'm just wondering if you have any tips for me regarding modifying it.
If you click on this video link its my car that I'll be picking up. Any ideas welcome. Cheers in advance.

Welcome It's well specced . Looks good. Most people change interior and exterior bulbs to led first. Quick cheap mod. Lots have sill plates as well then there is lowering it. But search on here as loads of topics on everything and great advice from people on here.

As said there is loads you could do. Depends on taste and budget. 1st thing i would do is change the interior bulbs to leds. And get some sill plates.. car looks great btw and we'll specd.. didnt know you could get push button start on the rocs.

I found the part where he said i didnt realise it had a sunroof quite funny. Did the black glass on the roof not give it away?

For what it's worth, I think you might need to tread carefully with this 'salesman' - he actually claims that the wheels have 'no damage', but even with this poor video quality you can still tell that at least three wheels have been kerbed, and the offside front is well and truly trashed (look at the top of it). The wheels are not just dirty, as he claims - and if they are, then why didn't he wash them first for you? Have you seen the car in the flesh? Hopefully they're giving you the car at a vast discount, otherwise your funds for modifications would be best spent on alloy refurbishment. And if the previous owner has done that to the wheels, have they really looked after the rest of the car?

I'm quite surprised to see such a video - are VW in the habit of putting out shoddy clips of staff who can't even make the effort to pronounce 'Scirocco' properly! Not a great advert for their professionalism really...

Sorry to be so negative about this, but as you have said, you are 'new to this'. Just be careful of getting conned on this one - if it was me, and if nothing has yet been signed, I'd run a mile. Best of luck, whatever you do.

Tom

Love viper roccos and especially a high spec one with things such as xenons sunroof upgraded audio etc.

It does strike me as odd that the original owner spent so much on extras but has the cheaper option with wheels rather than inters or luganos. I wonder if these are the originals or if this car has been modded in the past (as luke said push start is unusual).

Not trying to put an negativity on your new purchase just something to consider

Ayup guys thanks for the messages.

The wheels do look bad on the video but they got fully refurbished today. They're the first thing I'm going to change. Upgrade to 19 inch and lower it an inch or so. The push start does seem odd on Sciroccos but it works so its all good.

Lewis.
