Hi all,
so recently got my first scirocco after having a mk4 golf 1.6 and then a mk5 golf 1.4 TSI iv now got a 2.0 GT TSI Rocco
iv been a member of uk-mkivs and i have a larger build thread on there including my older cars too:
http://uk-mkivs.net/topic/103389-dan180 ... 20-gt-tsi/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
here it is on the day i got it i put my MOMO alloys on that were on my 2nd Golf other than that standard here:
i also bought some phillips blue vision dipped and side lights, a K&N panel filter and some gloss black VW badges (i havent put the badges on yet cause im not sure whether ill like them or not, so if anyone has any pics of a silver rocco with black badges them please share)
and today these arrived
hoping to get them on this weekend and the Remap too
its also got my private plates on now which end in DAN
thinking about spacers aswell when i get the springs on to line up with the arches better

Got those springs on mine. Love how it looks! I wouldn't change it 1mm. Remap is a must have. Makes 3rd gear pull like 2nd pre-remap

Progress:
remapped the car yeserday used the superchips bluefin, throttle response is so much quicker its immediate now no lag, only drove it two secs around the estate but definitly a different animal
also booked the car in on wednesday to get the VWR springs fitted,
and got some various stickers so once i get some decent weather shes getting a full clean and polish and stickies

some pics with my private reg now on and also gave the car its first clean by me since i got it, it was stinking and my wheels were covered.
i ran out of snow foam half way through so i had to do the front with the karcher stuff which came with my unit which was rubbish so i need some new good stuff and then decided not to polish it since its winter and i was running out of day light lol plus i knew i still had to clean the exausts which i dont think have ever been cleaned so i went through 2 brillo pads, pics to follow the difference is unreal
excuse the quality these pics are on my phone
the exhaust after cleaning one side to see the difference
and both cleaned from a distance they look so much better just used brillo pads and water
need some new plates though i had to use the old ones with the screw holes in terrible places, i was wondering about the metal plates people have ?????????

I got mine of eBay front and rear, I think long as they correct spacing and non reflective should be ok I've been fine so far.
I think dub-mister do actual legal ones but u gotta send away your details and paper work.

so after the lowering had the alignment checked this is the before and after so as you can tell the back wheels where pretty far off
i went to VW stealers today aswell to get an insert for the mk5 wheel so instead of a plain chrome it has a GT badge on the bottom spoke, they didnt have any so its on order should be there tuesday.
iv been waiting for some decent weather to take some pics of the car lowered but not really had the chance so at VW i found a brother and parked next to him so took a quick photo, you can see the ride height difference on the front wheel, ill get some better pics at some point
iv also ordered some scirocco door sills and pressed plates so its just a waiting game now

two new things pressed plates (£20 ebay) and a GT steering wheel badge (~£28 stealers)
and the GT wheel badge, nothing special but nice little change
cheeky pic parked next to a brother down at work (phone quality)
and first bit of frost this year
