Ordered mine a few weeks ago, it's been given build week 39 but won't know shipping dates until it's in production. Expected by the end of October but may be beginning of November, I suspect they are just playing it safe.
GT 184 TDI Night Blue
Folding mirrors
Cruise
Camera
Lisbon alloys
Been holding out for the new model for a while now. It's a shame leather isn't standard anymore, but I'm not paying 1825 for it and the r-line isn't for me. Fingers crossed those centre dials don't look as ridiculous in the flesh as in photos.

I will let you know when I have more information on mine. Hoping it will be the 1st as I ordered it the first day you could but god knows what will happen. My last one kept me waiting 6 months from order. Ended up driving around in the worlds most boring beige C-class courtesy of VW. I think with the demand for VW Diesel engines being so high I can see Diesel rocco orders not appearing until November at the earliest.

Had my order confirmed a couple of weeks ago for a base 1.4 petrol model in urano grey with rear view cam, tinted rear windows, colour MFD, kessy, sat nav. Was told it would be 12-14 weeks but I don't think they really had much idea beyond what I assumed was a generic timeframe...

Your dealer should be able to tell you your build week by now, and your order number to track the "progress" on the vw website.

How strange. Mines on 3. Build week confirmed, contact retailer for further info.
Perhaps it's down to the popularity of the build/engine type batches prioritised for production.

Just been told my build week is week 40 (29th of Sept) but even the dealer said that could change depending on Diesel engine demand

Nobody has specified DCC as an extra. Is that because of the £810 cost or is it just not worth bothering with? If you recall is was standard on most versions of the pre-facelift car.

Oops, yeah I have, missed that off the list because it used to be standard. The extra 810 brought the price closer to that of the previous 177 GT and I'd probably regret not adding it. I've never driven one without it to compare though.

This is the issue I'm having with speccing a new one. I have no idea what the suspension/ride will be like without DCC on the new model. I think I'm going to have to wait for demonstrators to arrive and hope that one of them doesn't have it fitted. If it was still standard I'd order my new one tomorrow!

I am being a bit cynical but bet all the demonstrators have DCC fitted. I suspect that in the 'standard' setting there would not be much difference in handling/ride which makes the case for spending £800 a bit thin. One thought is to try a base car in the current model which I believe does not have DCC as standard.

Has anyone had any progress on the order tracker yet?
I'm still stuck on #2 'with factory' where its been for almost a month now...starting to get annoyed

Mine has now changed from build week confirmed "contact your dealer" to "Your order has been confirmed for build week commencing 21/09/2014". Which I knew anyway, but it's progress I guess...

I don't mean to upset but, on thinking of buying a new Scirocco myself, I took a peep inside a basic 125hp at the local dealers today. The dials don't look too cool in the flesh. I've liked the Scirocco for it being understated compared to TTs, 235is etc; but it has always had a element of chav about it, and the dials could now be a deal breaker for me - they're simply an embarrassment. But maybe it's an age thing.

Is their an option to not have the dials? Or just pull them off
