Buying Advice - 1.4 160

Morning all,
I was hoping to get some buying advice from a very knowledgeable crowd
I am in the market to get a used 1.4 (160) and I am going to see one today.
I have been reading various reviews/posts about the car but in particular the mis-fire fiasco on this engine.
The car was registered in September 2010. The dealer (Evan Halshaw) has no service book with the car nor workshop records. I was particularly interested in the codes 24S4 and 37G7 (its the DSG).
I know if it was done correctly, there should be a sticker in the boot. I can check this once I get there. Its a bit of a drive and didn't want to waste everyone's time...
Is there a way to check if it has been done online? also if VW servicing has been done?
Also its at 30k miles - when can I expect to change the cambelt... 45k?
Obviously with the service records missing it raised a red flag; but don't want to discount it if I can source the info. It could have simply been misplaced.
This is the car in question:

Any other buying advice for this model would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Andrew
