Changing needle sweep using 'autologic'

Hi - anyone changed enabled the 'needle sweep' function using autologic?
we tried bagcom last night but my friend had a very old copy and it wouldn't play ball and connect to my 61 plate gt tdi. we tried changing bits on auto logic but couldn't get the sweep to work?
