Scirocco Central

Hi.
After a month of problem-free driving in my 2010GT TSI... Yesterday when I went from Neutral to Drive (DSG) standing in steep slope nothing happened and there was some rattle from the gearbox when I revved.
I put it back to Neutral and back in Drive and same thing happens again. Back to Neutral again and then Drive and finally it found the gear. No problem since then. I have had cars with manual boxes where the gearbox sometimes cant get into gear.

Is this alarming or does it happen sometimes?
My car got a new gearbox two years ago.

Sounds like you may have a problem tbh, it should never do that :-/ I would get it plugged in and see if there are any fault codes stored, does sound like the mechatronic unit is starting to fail.

ouch. expensive if that is failing

VW had a look at it. No error-codes registered and they spent some time trying to reproduce the error with the car in different angles without success. It has happened twice the last two months. Since they didnt find anything I didnt need to pay anything, so that was nice. I guess I should just try and forget about it and ride on.
