Mystery button and ESP blink

Hi!
I just bought -09 Scirocco with 2.0tfsi, It is originally from Italy and now in Finland.
The guestion is, how should ESP button/light work? When I press ESP button for ~1sec, the logo starts to blink in dash and apparently it is of because I get some wheelspin in hard acceleration, I press button again the light goes of and esp is again functional. Why the blinking? Can it have something to do with outside temperature sensor, because it shows only --,- in dash? ( and where this sensor is located, so i could check the connectors and cable)
And to the trickiest part - what the heck is this orange light on the right?
Its just there, when car is running or ignition is on there is that yellow light. Can it have something to do with this thing with keys?
I have no idea what that is either, there is no text in it, and when I press button in it the car just says beeb beeb and nothing happens
