MDI Ipod Query

Morning All!

Bit clueless here. First of all I don't have the Bluetooth module for my RCD510 (yet)! Just received spotify premium with my phone contract and I've been trying to use this with my Ipod touch. First point is when i plug the Ipod in it only allows me to change the song track via spotify via the Ipod and only displays one track name. I accept this not much i can do about it haha, but the lead is tiny! so i thought i would use my USB adapter and plug and Ipod lead in and it doesn't work like that.

So in summary, I use the AUX to play my songs and lose charging, mute and volume functions, or I have the most awkward and to be honest fairly dangerous way of changing my songs.

Can anyone suggest another way or tell me something i'm doing wrong, without saying turn on the radio instead haha

Thanks

You should have full functionality when you plug it in.

Does your iPod use the new lightning connector?

I do have full functionality when playing normal songs but I believe it's due to me playing songs through an app. I'm not sure which connector I have how would I tell the difference?

if you have full connectivity elsewhere, then the app is the one with the problem. I use tunein radio app, and I have always been able to control it using the steering wheel.
The connector doesnt matter in this case. Cant think of the answer, sorry :(

Did you sort this out. As I didn't have music playback on my bluetooth just phone. I have the MDI connector, and found a bluetooth device on the net that is brilliant full music display and functionality. And it wasn't £200 like the real bluetooth module.

Google "tuneair" it was £60.
