Which Car?!?!

Hi Guys!

First Post. Sorry if its in the wrong place Mods! :(

So i used to own a Scirocco 2.0 Diesel and a few months back swapped in for a Corsa VXR. Now i'm in need of something new. Bigger. Better. If possible could i get some of your opinions. The scenario is...

I have £22k budget but totally clueless as to which car to look at.
Now i have a few conditions for what i'm looking at.
Ideally i want mid- high 20's for MPG. Something with a sub 7 second 0-60. And ideally again something i can Mod.

I've had a few ideas but i'm a bit stuck now.
- VW Scirocco 2.0 Tsi. Leaves a budget for a Rieger Kit.
- VW Golf GTi.
- Audi A3 (possibility of an S3).
- Audi A5.

I'm open to any ideas really! also thought about S200's, Polo GTi's, BMW Z4's.

Hit me with anything! Would be much appreciated! :)

Cheers!

i've now got a Mk7 R which i can see what the hype is about, if you are going GTI go Edition 35 as more desirable and rarer

What MPG are you getting with your R? Also. If you dont mind me asking how much did it set you back?

Not that I have an R, but I have been looking at the MK7 R with interest, probably looking at an average of 30mpg, or with restraint up to 35mpg, but given the performance on offer (300PS), it is likely to be in the mid to upper 20's I would suggest.

Cost wise - Base circa £30K - and up to £40K fully loaded. Its a superb car.

MPG is improving on the R as the one i have on load has now racked up 3,000 miles, better than my GTI was all be it i have not driven it that sensibly

£30-£40k is the banding depending how daft you go

So what sort of MPG figures are you looking at and with what driving style?

As above - will be around 25-35 mpg dependent on driving style.

So sorry to be apain. But where is Eco Mode in the car? Is it down with the gearstick? Or somewhere on the dash? Also what moddle do you have? I'm guessing a Mk6 or Mk7 from the price?

I don't think it does have one. Think he means driving it like a snail to get good mpg. He has got a mk7 r

Between 13km/l and 9km/l. If you're a fuel fethisist don't buy a sportscar.
