Scirocco Central

Hello all,

This has been bugging me the past few days and can't figure it out so thought i'd ask you guys.

i'm looking to buy a used Rocco and prior to seeing some in the flesh i've been looking on the VW approved website. I've noticed some (unable to tell if all) Roccos have what appear to be circular dents in the side. Initially i thought this one in particular was a bit shoddy, but then I looked at another one (of a light colour to make it easier to see any dent) and it appears to be the same.

Anyone have any idea what this is? Have you noticed it on your own? As I say it's been puzzling me for a couple days and it's getting to me haha.

Are they particularly noticeable? Part of me thinks the angle the photo's taken at doesn't help much. Am i right in thinking that the curve in that part of the body tends to hide them?

haha just luck of the draw that i came online and clicked new posts so soon after you posted haha, no mate i only notice them if I'm looking out for them haha, and if you dont like them you can always just lower the car, even less chance of seeing them

oh and just to mention I'm driving a candy white, same colour as your picture, i doubt you'd see them at all with any other colour to be honest

Ok awesome - Tbh i'm thinking about getting a Candy White one so it's good to know. Having said that I'm not going to spend enough time looking at low area of the side to warrant stressing about it.

Just at the point now where i can't wait to get myself behind the wheel...can't explain the excitement haha.

When I picked up my car from the dealer soon as he took the cover off thats the 1st thing my dad noticed.. straight away he said theres dents down there lol.

haha i just assumed they were jacking points when i looked at it tbh, it'd be pretty hard to get two dints there without them being purposeful

and yeah they are on a curve so you'd never see them unless you were bang side on walking from a fair few yards away, nothing to worry about, everyone else's roc is the same

You will never notice them, after the first mile the sill will be covered in dirt

I never clean below the line, with all that dirt there, its just asking to be picked up and scrapped all over the paintwork, leave well alone

I just spray that part with apc then wipe away with a old microfiber clothe
