connect pioneer dvd

hi
i want to install pioneer avh-p8450bt and have some questions:
1) why i have connect bypass to handbrake through remote and ground ? why i cannot ground the(green) handbrake cable ?
2)does it necessary to connect violet\white cable to + of reverse bulb ? for what that conncetion ?
