Attempted break in

Looks like someone tried to break into my car on Friday night. I think they tried to pry the window away from the seal using a screwdriver or something similar but instead of the front window coming out they shattered the back window trying to use it as a fulcrum.

Trying to find a new tinted side window on a Saturday wasn't successfull so it's been left at the auto glass place in secure storage until they source one. Insurance company won't let me keep it on the street until it's fixed so I hope it doesn't take too long.

Have bought a new house in a nicer part of London, been fixing it up, moving in next month. I won't miss my old council estate neighbours one little bit.

This is why I have a Scirocco, not a Cayman. You can't have nice cars on council estates. Even a three year old Scirocco is too good for it.

South of the river. Vauxhall. It sounds hideous but there are some very nice parts once you get away from the one way system.

Sorry to hear about this paralla, what bar stewards! Now you have the inconvenience and the hassle, not too mention costs because of this. Hopefully it gets repaired very soon.

Glad on the positive note that they didn't manage to get into your car though. What part of london was it?

It has been parked in the same place the past three years. In a residents car park on a council estate in West Kensington.
