Condensation in light and water down the side of the doors?

Hello.

Just picked up my new Rocco a few days ago and have been really enjoying it - far better than the car I had before, so in that respect I'm really happy.

I just noticed a couple of things today though. The first is that my driver side headlight is getting condensation in it - surely this shouldn't be happening on a brand new car? The passenger side has a touch, but not as much as driver side. Photo below, see what you think - is this normal?

Secondly, it feels like there's a lot of water coming down the side of the doors. There isn't any actually coming into the car itself, but surely the locks/etc will get rust with that amount of water? Can anyone else comment on whether they get a similar amount of water when it rains?

Many thanks :)

The condensation inside the lights is common in cold damp conditions. I've had it on my last 3 VAG cars which have plastic lenses.

Never really noticed the water down the door.

People do complain about the 'water in the door shuts' thing - but its actally pretty normal as the weather seals are on the inside edge of the painted area so there is nothing to stop water getting on to the painted door reveals and inner edge of the doors.

if you have wet carpets/internal trim etc thats a different matter entirely....

Understood - will keep an eyeout and make sure it doesn't get wet inside. In terms of it being on the painted bits I'm not too fussed - paint is obviously waterproof. I was just a bit concerned that water might be getting into the lock-part and I can see a couple of years down the line that getting all rusty. I guess I'll just need to keep an eye on it :)

I only really noticed this because the Megane had a leak on the drivers side... and it took me bloody ages to a) realise it was there and b) find the exact source of the leak. I'd end up with loads of water in the storage compartment under the matt, only when I went to put something in it the thing looked like a fishbowl! :D Hopefully those days are gone.
