Funny Sound coming from there rear

Hi All,

I am a proud new scirocco owner, I was just wondering when I seem to hit higher speeds from the rear it sounds like... Well let me try vumvumvumvumvumvumvum it faint like an uneven tyre maybe?

Sorry for the bad explanation, only way I thought I could explain it :)

The Scirocco, like most other VAG cars suffer from tread stepping and sawtooth tyre wear on the rear. The symptom sounds like a wheel bearing rumbling. Some brands of tyre suffer worse than others. Only solution is to regularly rotate tyres front to rear.

As a precaution you may want to have a 4 wheel alignment carried out, which can sometimes help.
