Scirocco Central

Anyone have any ideas what might cause the AM radio to get no signal at all on an RCD 510? I mentioned it in the last service but they said no faults showed so they'd have to pull the car apart to check and didn't think I'd want that. (Was obviously a thorough check as the radio was still on Radio 2 where I left it when I got the car back )

I wouldn't normally care but with footie season starting up again soon I'm going to miss 5-Live!

The only thing I can think of is a loose aerial connection.
If you've never taken this (your RCD) out, then it's unlikely. See this... Connector 7 might be loose?!?! Just a thought, but I know it's unlikely.

Or perhaps you have a break in the aerial circuitry at the back, I am think all this would show up in VCDS, but I might be wrong.

Tell them to check the aerial on the back passenger windows
