You have got Bi-Xenon's and the indicators are in the same housing.
Have you checked the fuses?

To be honest, I'm as confused as you are. What do you actually want to know?
With regards to the outside lamps.
- DRL's dim when selecting the headlamps (dipped and main beam).
- Indicators serve one function.
- Turning lamps serve one function.
Therefore, one has the following:
Lower casing - DRL's only.
Headlamp - Dipped and main beam (Bi-Xenon unit), Indicators (frosted covering to the unit) and turning lamps.

Take the cap off, twist and pull, disconnect the plug and change the bulb. Repeat to refit.
