Wing mirrors flashing

When I return to my locked car from t' chip shop I see my wing mirrors are flashing!
No alarm sound and only the mirrors not the full hazards.
There was a bit of ice about on the roof and under the wipers and I had the heaters on high.
Could it just have been the interior alarm going off (yet I didn't hear the alarm) may be set off by the air movement or some person tampering?
What else would cause this? Ice about the mirrors?
I haven't tried the alarm yet so what's the way to do this - just lock myself in?
I later tried the Interior Sensor Off button but it didn't change yellow.
I'll go try things out...
Tried the yellow Off button and its ok but how do I test the alarm works? Sitting inside with it locked does set it off with sensor on.
Perhaps fumes from the Fabreeze mounted on air duct. The manual says about mirror hung types set them off yet they are behind the sensor. So it could be the fumes movement.
