MFSW alive with ignition off possible?

Post by Sootchucker »

Hi all. We have 2 VW's in the family (both Spring 2011 models), my Rocco GT 140tdi BM and the wife's Polo 6R 1.4 SEL DSG.

I don't drive the wife's car too often but did over the weekend and noticed a subtle difference between her MFSW and mine. In hers, if the ignition is off the buttons on the MFSW are still active (to control the stereo). In the Rocco, as soon as the ignition is switched off, the MFSW goes dead.

Is it possible to activate this on the Rocco via VCDS and is it something to do with this Terminal 15 that seems to pop up everywhere in VCDS ? I know it's only minor, but quite often I'll be sat in the car at the train station waiting for the wife, and it's a real pain to reach all that way to the stereo ( :D :D ), and would be much easier if I could just adjust the volume and skip tracks etc from the MFSW. If it makes any difference, the head unit is a RNS-510
