At £185.00 Just spotted this on the configurator and is obviously on of the little changes popped in at build week 45 (yes I have answered my own thread question). Slightly gutted as would have definately had this on my car ordered a month ago. Although if I had left it till now it would be £385 extra as my order went in a few days before the £200 premium for white paint!

Wonder if that makes the parts available for retrofitting relatively cost effectively?

Good point - I would prefer a rear camera to parking sensors.

I am actually thinking - Do you really need sensors with the camera. The (rear only) sensors as they come with the Roc are not really fantastic value for money at £370. I have the full set plus camera in my current car (Golf VI) and to be honest when I am parking the 'bleeps' are just annoying and the pictogram just a gimmick - I am actually looking at the nearside rear wheel position to begin with (in the dropped nearside door mirror) and then looking at the RVC screen once I believe I am getting close the obstruction behind me.

What's the reversing camera view like for covering the full width of the car? I find it is often the edges of a driveway or parking spot that cause the most problems and these will be at the far corners of the rear bumper. Does the camera help with such cases?

No - you have to use it in conjunction with the mirrors as the view is direct to the rear- if you have the self dipping nearside mirror even better. The guidelines superimposed on the picture are quite accurate and helpful, expecially if lining up in a space demarced by white lines.

I have a reversing camera on another car, and in a few instances I'm glad I've also go the parking sensors:
1) The camera gets dirty, and so very hard to see
2) At night. It's a high-gain camera, but it's not night vision.

If you can, I'd suggest both.

A couple of good points there phil4. The back of the Roc really is a dirt magnet
