one of my keys stop working

hi tried my key today and would not open the doors tried my other one and it was ok,i then tried to resync the key but will not work every now and then it will open i anyone got any ideas.

Given the age of the battery, it would be unusual.
If when it fails, if there is no little red LED flashing as usual, the remote is faulty.

changed the battery and the lights are flashing and not been dropped.i,m booked in for a service next week see what they say.thanks

went in today and key is being replace so have to wait for key to come from Germany,but car feel's really underpowered so will have to see if they have updated the ecu map.
