Scirocco Central

Ok so forgive me if this has been asked before..

But i don't normally clean my Scriocco myself , just as im busy with work etc. I get it done at a local hand car wash.

Today i had a day off and the weather was beautiful , and washed my car myself, and i can just see little marks all over , im pretty sure that they are removeable if done properly.
I just wanted to know what the main thing was to look after candy white ?

I'm guessing what you're seeing is either tar spots or little orangey looking spots which look like rust.

Both are easily removed with the right products. You'll be looking at something like Tardis to remove the tar spots and Iron-X to remove the rust like spots.

Combine those with a decent clay bar session and you should have an excellent foundation for your chosen wax/polish sealant etc.

It does take a little time but well worth the results, it's not the sort of thing you'll need to do every weekend.

cleaned mine to day.iron-x is really good first time i have used it and its really done the trick,she all nice and clean 3hrs later.

Thanks for feedback guys, i will try get some pictures up tomorrow and show you the marks i have on the body work and alloys.

paint sealants like those nanolex are good to keep the surface slick. Major dirt and bird droppings tends to get washed away with a high speed drive in the rain.

You could never keep it completely clean in winter but the sealant allows me to do a quickie wash on the doors with a bucket of rain water and a lambwool mitt. Nothing else. No need to apply any pressure.

My tip is to not leave a trigger bottle of Iron-X in the boot. My Candy stunk to high heaven for a couple of days after a small amount of it leaked. Luckily it was in a plastic bag so didn’t make a mess but good lord it reeks! Love the visual feedback of it dissolving the gunk on the paint though. Very satisfying.
