Can anyone tell me if these will fit my car? It is a 2.0 tsi 58 plate, it has never had them fitted from what I can tell but all the ones in this thread seem to have been fitted to 1.4tsi and tdi models?
Regards,
Matt

Chrome pipes as standard on the 2.0tsi petrol cars.
The probably just need a damn good scrubbing!

I have read in another thread on here that the very early ones never had them.. mine is a November 2008 build I think.

Here's the 3177th (Oct'08) built Scirocco which I did a photographic survey on.

A 2.0TSi GT. Just check for the spot welds on either side of the tailpipe under the bumper which are how the factory tips are held into the exhasut pipes. Given 4 years old, is it the original back box section?

Sorry to bring it up again, but did we ever get an answer if the yeti pipes fit the 122? Can see they fit the oil burners (i.e has the 140 tdi got the same diameter exhaust as the 122 tsi?
Cheers guys

I bought these from ebay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130576504951? ... 1497.l2649
Ordered Friday lunchtime, delivered Saturday morning!
So what you need:
I found it really hard getting the tips on so I gently squeezed the clips with a pair of pliers to make the bumps slightly smaller. But obviously not so much as to negate their holding force. I did it to all four clips to keep the fit centralised on the pipe.
This made is so much easier to fit them on!
Half way on:
Then just gently hammer them on with a piece of wood as other people have done.
Before:
After:
Not bad for £27 and about 5 mins work!

Indeed there are Risingroc - not sure how I missed the first 2 pages of the thread, derp
I really like these - have ended up buying the same ones from the same seller. Can't wait. Thanks everyone.

Thought i'd give a bit of an update..i ordered some Yeti ones from the local skoda main stealer- but they were slash not straight. (5L0071910 - not sure if this tallies with what other people have ordered) They also fitted them for me all in for £27 (but they said they had to take a small cut off my pipes to get them to fit

)

Nothing to worry about. Instructions say to cut pipes but I never did and mine haven't budged in over a year.

Did you use the pliers also to the front of the four clips or just the back of the clips.

Ok so I fitted the yeti pipes this morning, but I am unsure as to how far they go on. On this thred we have two pictures one with them pushed on to the second clip, whereas the other looks like they are pushed a little further. Mine are psued on to the second clip, but i am unsure as to whether this is correct or not?
They feel very secure where they are now, but dont want to push on further to run of risk of it messing it up. I have added some pics below,

Knock them all the way until you don't see the inner holding clip/bracket

Was thinking of fitting these and just wondered:
If fitted well are all the 4 clips completely hidden?
And can you always see the bottom edge of the actual exhaust?
