Hi There,
Great thread! how is the vibration on the engine mounts? I'm running the revo set up and there is a fair bit of shake rattle when pulling away. Do you get the same with your current set up?
thinking about swapping them out but could do with a comparison.
Cheers

oh my car shakes like crazy... but i built the car to abuse not to drive around in traffic daily

So I don't mind.
For anyone using theres as an everyday road car I would never recommend solid mounts!

Impressive build mate. Once I have access to PM's I'll be asking a few questions about your speedo swap. Keep up the progress:)

1. Where did you get the speedo adapter/harness?
2. Do you know if the white MFD cluster work with the steering wheel you originally had?
This is turning into a serious build. Keep making me wish I didn't buy a diesel now haha

1 - I got it off ebay for £70
2 yes, the mfd makes no difference its the steering column module that makes the difference as to what steering wheel you can use.

Still got to get the exhaust housing for it but il order that this week.

Going to sort out the manifold this week too, I almost everything for the power build, then on to the 4wd setup
Sorry for the lack of posts recently! Been crazy busy with work, got to fund the car somehow!

Can't wait to see the outcome, especially with the 4wd setup

My manifold is now on route, yippee! T3 manifold with 38mm eternal wastegate boltings, but I have a vband 44mm adapter to run a 44mm wastegate
Picture of the Garrett and Tial laying next to eachother, its the start of their high boost relationship
And to give you an idea of the size of the turbo, a pringles can inside the intake
So once the manifold comes I have everything except water feeds for the turbo

I will purchase them asap. I basically have everything I need to get started on this project.
As for the 4WD that will come later in the year, as mentioned before, I just want it done before next years GTI International

How hard was to fit the steering wheel? Do you need any adapters and do you need to re-program anything?

No adapters but needed to change my steering control ecu, cost £50 off ebay then used vagcom to programme it. Without it I had no steering controls or horn.

Oh that's not too bad, also did the steering wheel come with the airbag unit? Can you use the old airbag in new steering wheel? Is the job hard to complete? Any tips...

Mine did as I bought one that came with one, depends what you find. But no, they are completely different shapes. Absolute doddle to change, just unclip the airbag from behind then 1 bolt to take off the steering wheel
