Thanks. The bonnet has been vinyl wrapped to match the rest of the car as the CF hood came pre-painted so not your typical exposed CF finish. The rear spoiler is the Cup spoiler from VW.

Hi mate it was sourced from my local workshop but I am pretty sure it is a 3M product.

I have been getting a few PM's regarding the new LSD diff so thought I would share with all of you my impressions to date. I am still technically running it in but have had several 'enthusiastic drives' for me to give an opinion.
Background and Technical Information
The DREXLER diff fitted to my car is a modified street version unit as fitted on the Scirocco Cup cars in Europe. It is not an off the shelf unit so its a bit more expensive to your Quaife and Peloquin LSD's. The Drexler is a 2-way differential (it works both on acceleration and braking/deceleration), with preset ramp angles of 45 degrees on acceleration and 90 degrees on braking/deceleration with a set torque pre-load. The ramp angles chosen lead to a locking percentage of approximately 40% on acceleration and 60% on deceleration, which is what Drexler recommended for a modified street registered car that can be safely driven on the street.
A fundamental difference with the DREXLER as opposed to Quaife etc. is that Quaife is a Torsen (gear type) differential, whilst the Drexler is a clutch-type differential. In all my research though I kept reading that Quaife is better for the street with no audible noises and no maintenance, while Drexler is better for racing with some maintenance like changing clutches at 75.000kms and changing oil more often. As you are aware torsen-type differentials are very popular on front wheel-drive cars. Also another thing that is important, torsen differentials work ONLY during acceleration and they also rely that both wheels have certain amount of traction. If you lift one of the wheels, then the torsen differential acts as an open diff. Under deceleration, the torsen differentials will also act as an open differential.
Driving Impressions
As most of you are aware I changed my Coilover set up to stiffer and more track oriented KW Clubsports at the same time I removed the diff. The combination of these two modifications has dramatically changed how the car drives. Its hard to believe that the car is a FWD car. I liken the change as going from a stock tune to a Stage 1 engine tune. It is that dramatic. I was quite blown away.
In a recent run through the RNP I was finding that I that the car now accelerates like you would want it to accelerate, instead of losing all the power due to wheel spin. Entry and exiting corners feels faster and more precise with greatly reduced under steer. When you put the power down on exit the car exits straighter and inspires more confidence. This renewed confidence found me pushing the boundaries a bit giving me a big grin throughout the day. On some parts of the RNP where the surface wasn't so good there was drifting but very natural and correctable. There was no 'oh shit' moments and I was also driving with traction control off.
The gear changes and transition is factory smooth and with the combination of the stiffer clubsports the car brakes better as well. Dont get me wrong the car is quite stiff and on sub standard roads the ride is not pleasant but its a compromise I can live with. All the power upgrades is now worthwhile - the car feels fast in all areas. I cant wait to put some semi slicks R spec tyres on.
I can safely say that the build is now complete.
Time to enjoy the car.

best rocco out there, nothing comes close, fact
such a great and considered approach to the modifications and really interesting reading about the diff and the Clubsports, how much camber are you running on the fronts?

The ball joint does give some adjustability however my Clubsports have adjustable camber tops which has a huge range to play with for track days.
