Not really helping the last poster but I have both front seats (drivers and passengers) sat in my garage if anyone needs them. They are just frames and the sponge...I have removed the airbags and outer covering...the tilt mech works fine on both seats...check out my ad in for sale section.

I have the same problem but my guide block is stuck under the seat out of reach.. dont know how to remove it
meanwhile i found this DIY:
