Car chem is the best out of the lot in my opinion.

Going to order some car chem this eve. Do you still agree (in your opinion) that it's the best from the list above?

Out of the list the best 2 are af avalanche and car chem.
car chem is much better value for money if buying 5 litres rather than 5 litres of avalanche.

I have 5 litres of car chem in my cupboard as i got it on offer. I personally like it and rate it better than the rest of the snow foams. Out of the list go with either car chem or af avalanche.

Another to throw into the mix is Bilt Hamber Auto Foam, I've been using it for short while and it seems pretty effective. Seemed to be another highly rated SF. I've not used any others previously so I can't vouch for how well it stands up against the others. It doesn't seem to hang around (by design I believe) as long as the others but it certainly shifts the majority of the winter muck and road grime. I don't really have time to do a full wash every week but a quick snow foam seems to do a pretty good job and leave it looking shiny. I do have Auto Finesse Tough Coat on, though!

Yeah it's well deserved. I've not tried any other products, but I don't think I'll bother with these results. This was purely from a jetwash rinse followed by a snow foam with BH AF after a week (I hate winter...) and around 500 miles on the roads. The foam doesn't cling to the car for very long but it definitely takes a good amount of muck off for 20 minutes work (read 'fun with a jet wash') for me to be happy when I don't have enough time to do a full wash, especially at this time of year.

On this occasion I treated her to a tickle with a wash mitt after the 'after' photos were taken.

Looks like good stuff. Got 5 litres of car Chem to get through 1st though. But might try it when I eventually run out

The ebay link I put on earlier in this thread is for bilt hamber.

Bilt Hamber Autofoam is the best snowfoam on the market.
However you need to pay attention to dilution ratios.
It is designed to work and be wax safe between 7 and 10% PIR. (Panel Impact Ratio).
That means that the mix of product coming out of the end of your lance should be no more than 10% product.
Basically it means on most decent jetwashes half an ich of product rather than the one inch (in a 1L snow foam lance bottle) that other products require

Autobrite Magifoam is probably the next best. It foams up an awful lot and has a very long cling time, and while it does clean well, it doesn't clean quite as well as Bilt Hamber.

There's other things to note as well when it comes to snow foam - Snowfoam is designed as a pre-wash aid and will help soften dirt even if it doesn't completely remove it. There are lots of what I call "showfoams" which foam up very well but don't actually clean much at all.
Meguiars Hyperwash comes into this catergory as do many other snowfoams that I've tried.

At DMC we use Valet Pro Combo2 usually as this is quite an effective cleaner for both price and quality of cleaning. Although we do use the Autofoam stuff as well whenever we get stock.

To be perfectly honest these days I create my own little mix by using 50% Combo2 and 50% DMC shampoo. This creates a slightly less potent cleaning mix but it does dwell for a hell of a lot longer, meaning over winter when there's no sun to dry out the surface, I can snowfoam the whole car, then clean the wheels and then jet everything off at once before washing.
