Ah now we know wot you are up to. Why both wheel off at the same time :?

Another way then is jack up on the sill points (green line photo previous) with the jack and put the axle stand under the front axle rear bush mount here for safety .....

Jack takes the weight, axle stand is in for safety but doesn't take the full weight. Assumes one wheel at a time.

Otherwise its back to how you get both the jack in and then rest the car's weight on axle stands against a "safe" chassis point. You'll soon see the problem when you get the gear under the car.

Looking at those Halford axle stands, they look tall when fully collapsed. Mine have a collapsed height of 28cm. The Scirocco needs top be raised up reasonably high to get them in their collapsed state. Mine are similar in design to these Link

As usual thanks again RW1, I will be using your jack pod mod this spring !! For this task would you say it's ok to use just the jack that comes with the Roc?

Yes, if an axle stand is in place as well while you do each side in turn. You will have to put the stand under the rear mount bush point, just touching.
