Any gamers out there?

Post by Kev »

What are you currently playing?

I recently finished Assassins Creed2 (PS3) which was brilliant. A bit like a renaissance Grand Theft Auto!

I've just bought Red Dead Redemption, which looks like a Wild West GTA! Can you see a trend here :)

I haven't started playing it yet though as I'm moving in to the 21st century and getting myself a new flat screen TV next week to replace my enormous CRT one so I'm waiting to play it in crisp LCD glory.

Just blasting my way through Modern Warfare 2 and Forza 3 also gets some time. Got a PS3 too but that's just a glorified BluRay Player as the games are better on the 360 IMHO.

I play World of Warcraft (PC) and have finished recently Just Cause 2. (PS3), I am also playing Liberty City Stories (PS3), not a fan of Xboxes, not that there is much differences between the two consoles. I also have a Nintendo Wii for fun - not a serious gaming machine imo.

Hell yeah! Love to game!

Currently working my way through *every single* race in Forza 3 just to get the last remaining achievement for the complete 1k gamer points... What can I say, I'm a junkie - I spent about hours just trying to get the drift achievement, it's a great way to while away the hours waiting for a Roc.

Multiplayer game of the moment is Battlefield Bad Company 2 which is far better than the excellent MW series IMO (as is the single player campaign).

*Highly* recommend Borderlands which I completed recently, esp. co-op.

STILL waiting for Amazon to deliver Red Dead Redemption which I've had on pre-order since March... (certain synergy there with something else I've ordered but still waiting for!)

Deacon's right about the 360 though. Only real gaming machine out there... ;)

Anyone else on here on Live? My gamertag is The Johnx (PM if you add me so I know you're legit!)

Have to disagree the PS3 is what the Xbox should of been but never did. I use my PS3 for everything gaming, TV, movies etc. It cost me £300 back in the day and is so good value in what it does. Also considering you have buy everything extra for the Xbox so works out more expensive anyway. The games on it tend to be cross platform and so shouldn't make much difference and the gaming on the PS3 is superb. But thats my rants worth to give PS3 a chance on this thread ;)!

Right before this gets out of hand. I didn't intend my comments to be seen as ps3 bashing. As I said I own both (and have owned every games console ever released - I know, dork!) but my preference (and that's all it is) is for the 360. Lets not let this thread get turned into am us vs them ps3 and x-box fan boys thread please!

A forum isn't complete without a good old Xbox/PS3 fanboy thread :p

On a similar note, anyone seen the new Tomb Raider Co-op thing coming out soonish?

So no PC gamers here? Can't have a proper debate without bringing up how superior the mouse is for aiming compared to a controller. :p

I'm awaiting the Codemasters F1 game as well. Played the original F1GP to death back in the 90's.

Mainly play COD4 and a bit of BF:BC2.

Yep PC too.

I've got all the CODs on PC. I don't like playing FPS games on the PS3.

I recently replayed my way through the half life series as well. HL1, opposing forces, blue shift, HL2, ep1 and ep2. Pity they didn't get round to making ep3 and finishing the series off. Superb set of games though.

I'm a bit partial to a racing sim called grand prix legends too. Oh and a game of Peggle.

Use to love the PC for FPS. However got fed up with upgrading it all the time to keep up to date. So decided to just get the PS3 one off payment and can play all games that will ever come out on PS3. You just get use to the FPS with a controller and I really like it now wouldn't go back to the mouse.

Totally agree - I've done the same for the 360. Looks tasty from the vids on the official site:
