My Scirocco has become weak in power

Post by BenJaii »

My Scirocco has become weak in power
A few days ago, after starting my Scirocco 1.4 TSI, I found that the acceleration has become weak, the fuel consumption has greatly increased, and the turbo pressure is abnormal. When I floor the accelerator to accelerate, the factory turbo pressure gauge shows it reaches 2.0 bar. What could be the reason for this?  :faint:

Here is the video of turbo pressure gauge

First thing to do is to scan using VCDS or similar to see what fault codes, if any, are stored.

As Bob says you are going to need VCDS or something similar. Basic OBD code readers may be missing the information you need.

My OBD can check OBD-II, is it similar? I am going to buy VCDS, what I need to check in VCDS?

VCDS is one of the best tools to diagnose any VAG based vehicle. Basic dongles that connect to you phone lack the ability to do anything but basic diagnostics.
If you aren’t getting any codes this may because your tool isn’t up to the job. If it is and you aren’t getting any codes you are going to need to start looking at other methods such as live data etc which I’m assuming your tool can’t do.

I can get over 400 nos of live data from engine on my OBD, but I don’t know the correct values of all my sensor to identify what problem of my car

How can I check my PCV valve is working properly?
Or how can I deleted the PCV valve?

I found this one way valve is not working properly and I change it. But didn’t solve my problem, only feel more smooth when the gear change from 1 to 2.

One way to check the pcv valve. While the engine is running remove the oil filler cap. You should feel suction while lifting the cap off if the cap comes off without feeling suction then you know you pcv valve has failed.

I changed PCV valve, waste gate solenoid.
But it’s still no power when accelerating
