Steering Wheel Restoration

Post by utlr_ »

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience restoring a steering wheel in the Scirocco and what you could recommend?

There's no real damage to it, it just has a worn look to it at the moment, and am hoping to touch it up.

Any help appreciated.

In some cases, going over the wheel with a "magic sponge" can get rid of the shiny worn look and leave a duller matt finish, making it look less worn. If you want more then there are companies that will re-trim steering wheels.
