Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax

Post by SciroccoEire »

Hi All

Anyone else on here been using this new one from Meguiars? Picked up a bottle over the weekend and must say i am initially impressed.
Long time user of Wet Coat by Gyeon. Was originally against picking up a bottle of this as thought it wouldnt be as good , but i could be wrong.

Interested in hearing others thoughts.

Full write up on it here on my blog if anyone is interested.

No, but I might now. Read your blog post, and you YouTube videos.
As you write a lot of buzz about the Hybrid Ceramic Wax.
They took you to the cleaners for the foam cannon $17, mine was $10. But only 30% good. I will try another soap in it.

That is taking to the cleaners ;)

Here in China, cheap is plentiful As my colleague said:"if that pressure washer last this afternoon, it was worth what you paid for it". Good quality items cost an arm and a leg if they are available. Be it Chemical guys Leather cleaner, or A good quality foam cannon, from Adam's about $100.
Some products are variation thereof is just not available.

So far the Hybrid Ceramic Wax is not available. P&S bead maker is though.

P&S bead maker is not available here unfortunately , i wish it was!

Have you tried it?

I think it will actually give a better shine and gloss than the meguiars , but wont offer the same length of protection.

P&S bead maker on order. Chemical guys wipe out and Autosol too. I've trying to find a non branded IPA, but alas can't find anything I think is what I wants.
Hopefully next weekend I will be in business. It might even take a photo or two.

The bead maker is great, but i was hoping for longer lasting effect. Twice washed at the local sparayers, with soaps unknown. and the water sheeting was reduced quite a bit. Could well be due to my application. Still two steps up to become a novice at detailing so that's at my expense.

And I found a vendor for the Meguir's Hybrid Wax. Taobao.com has everything you may desire.

What about carpro reload? any experience using that?

And I'm in the market for a better foam cannon, more capacity so I can cover the whole car in one fill up. And, and better foaming. And it needs to fit my Iliy pressure washer. And my budget.
Still not sure if it is really required or just a detailer fad.
