Dsg juddering fault

Post by Gavinc80 »

I have a 2.0 tsi dsg, since I bought the car I get this intermittent juddering, ( at pulling off from stand still or in R) usually from an inclined hill,

car usually needs to be fully warmed up and driven quite hard to start doing it.

It has been aggravated a bit since I did a stage 1 remap, it does it most or the time now, the fault was already there it just does a mild version of what it does once the car is driven hard,

I have lost count how many garages I have been to and travelled to, and all say without any codes it's either mechatronics unit or clutch pack,

Any help would be appreciated if someone has had similar faults.

Had the dsg service done and adaptions 3 times.

First thing I would do is change the DSG oil and filter, irrespective of when it was last done and have the adaptation procedure carried out.

no idea here. I've done the oil change at 70k km's (needed to be done at 60k km's iirc) and I've been lucky. 85 xxx km's now and it still drives very smoothly.

Maybe it was already worn before (like you said) and now with the extra power from the remap its starting to get worse and fail?

Idk which part it is in the DSG unit.

There's a auto gearbox specialist in Bristol, and said we just recondition the mechatronics unit and change the clutch pack for 2k to eliminate all problems.
