Do i need AFS to have ' travel mode ' ?
Hey everyone. Im planing to retrofit the new facelift bi xenons to my car and i was wondering if im gonna need AFS to enable travel mode. The reason i ask is that im really having a hard time to find RHD lights so im thinking of buying LHD light so i can enable travel mode and its gonna be like have RHD lights

Travel mode does not convert the beam pattern from LHD to RHD and vice versa but "clips" the beam to prevent it dazzling oncoming traffic. Similar to those stickers you get to block part of the beam.

It may do but you would be missing part of the beam which is bound to affect visibility.davidscirocco wrote:hey thanks for the replay . but wont this pass the mot test?Cuprabob wrote:Travel mode does not convert the beam pattern from LHD to RHD and vice versa but "clips" the beam to prevent it dazzling oncoming traffic. Because you will lose a significant part of the beam pattern. It will be totally flat as opposed to kicking up at the passenger side as it should do.davidscirocco wrote:What do you mean less light than my standard ones? If you are desperate to have Xenons then buy tbe correct ones from TPS or have your current lights converted by the likes of Headlightretrofits.
