Weird bulb warning and message

Hello

I got a weird problem with my Scirocco:

The "bulb failure"-light turned on my dash and the car says "Check front left turn signal". Well it is working just fine and if I remove the bulb I get 2nd warning "Check front left turn signal!". So exactly like the first warning, but now with an exclamation mark. When I do this I get two warnings at the same time. One with the !-mark and one without. If I re-attach the bulb the warning with the !-mark goes away, but the one without the !-mark stays. I changed the bulb to a new one, but the orginal "Check front left turn signal"-warning and the bulb warning light are still on.

I am guessing there is problem with faulty electronics / wiring.

Yes. Those are the factory led ones, all leds were working. Unreplaceable says the manual.

Well I got pissed at the Rocco and drove it to the dealership. It seems that "Check front left turn signal" means cornering lights and "Check front left turn signal!" means the turn signal. So it seems that it was all about the German to English translation being incorrect.

Anyways, changed the cornering light's bulb and the error message went away.

Glad you got it sorted. Good to know for future reference. Kind of info that should be collated and made "sticky".
