Getting my rocco in the next week or two. I only realised today that the RCD510 doesn't come with Sat-Nav! I had just assumed they did.
Definitely going to upgrade, but I was just wondering how many man hours/cost it would roughly take to get a garage to fit the RNS 510 and the reverse camera?
Not really confident enough myself to start fitting the camera, I know that the RNS unit isnt exactly hard to fit but I might as well get them to fit it if they're already going to be doing the camera.
Thanks!
Cost of fitting RNS510 & reverse camera?

Re: Cost of fitting RNS510 & reverse camera?
Just had a mental image of Harry Enfields 'loadsa money' character (man i'm showing my age).......
RNS 510 is a quick fit job, 30 mins with a 3rd party GPS antenna stuck up under the dash and coding.
Reversing camera is a different kettle of fish altogether - sill trim along entire length of car, rear wheel arch trim, c pillar trim, tailgate trim - just to run the wires from the hatch all the way back to the RNS510 - also if you are thinking of running it to an RCD510 you must make sure you have the model which supports the reversing camera (many don't)...if its a dab radio version, i'm pretty sure it doesn't support the reversing camera - they don't have the video connector on the back. RNS 510 doesn't have that issue, pretty sure all of them had the video connector on the back.
Reversing camera job, depending on how skilled the fitter is could be 3+ hour job.
I've done both jobs on my own car and a mates mk6 golf so remember the sheer amount of trim that had to come off.

Hmm maybe i'll leave out the rear view camera and look into parking sensors or something!
