12 way electric seats.

Post by m4pdy »

Hi all,

Just wanted to clear up a rumour. I have bought a scirocco and love it. It has electric seats but apparently most don't have the 12 way electric drivers seat like mine, has my car got a rare option then? It's great as I have discovered if you push the chair forward it rockets forward and back until it reaches my seat arrangement then stops.

Thanks,

Paddy

It's a rare option because it's not too difficult to pull the lever and slide the seat, I have it on mine, it's ok but I wouldn't of paid for it new, it doesn't have a memory function for different drivers, adds weight and complexity on something rarely used.

What he said ^^^^^^

Once your seat is at the desired position it's rarely moved again.

Can beat good old trusted pull lever
Theres no such thing as "grey area" im just plain and simple "black & white"

It's one of the cheapest options and I considered it when speccing mine but decided against it as it was only the driver's seat and pretty pointless as I rarely move the seat.

i've got one but probably wouldn't have specced it if i'd bought new. have to say i do like it though, tilting the bottom seat pan is a really nice touch, can get really wedged in! does need a memory function though.

I know this is old, but OMG! no memory function, I was thinking of doing this as a nice lil upgrade... just for the mirror tilt lol. won't bother now though.

You only need electric mirrors for mirror tilt.
