MAIN BEAM WON'T WORK - VAGCOM HELP
Evening all!
In desperate need of some help - been toying with Vagcom with Mark V today. After messing changing various light settings etc. my main beam will not work (flashes the dipped instead!) It has given us fault code of '0907 - Intervention load Management'.
When we google this it takes us to the Touareg forum where it seems another chap has had a similar issue. The answer provided is:
"The car starts shutting down non-essential electrical systems when the battery voltage drops below a certain threshold. It's a sign of the beginning of the end of your battery."
This has only led us to clear solution of replacing my battery (as it's not been to clever lately anyway). Obviously this is a fairly urgent issue and would appreciate if any of you could provide some help on this...
Thanks!
Phil

Driving for >1hr should charge your battery up properly to sort all that out .i.e. low battery warnings.
Otherwise, you must have done an autoscan at the start, just revert back to original settings.

It was suggested on other forums that this is indicative that the battery is not functioning correctly and so it might not have the ability to take a re-charge (needing a replacement battery). Of course they are replaceable items and this one is over four years old...dimexi wrote:Driving for >1hr should charge your battery up properly to sort all that out .i.e. low battery warnings.
What puzzles me is that there is no warning in the MFD that the car has started to take action to shut down circuits (apart form the light not working)! Would of epxpected "Warning - battery low voltage" or something to give you a clue...

I remember speaking to RW1 (RIP) about the 'roc batteries earlier in the year - it seems they are not 100% at holding charge properly, especially if you do lots of short drives. He recommended replacing with Varta (I think that's what it's called).
I got loads of those warnings when I retrofitted my bluetooth, but they cleared with time. I will run another autoscan soon - hopefully I dont have any nasty surprises waiting

Ross-Tech site details the fault code:

Not too surprised really - I do think it's probably had the chance to charge up properly... I might be wrong, but it makes sense to me.
I'd still change it if I were you; with the cold winter months ahead, it is bound to give a few problems.

Hi Phil - thats strange as no fault was logged in the VCDS scan - did the mechanic advise seeking an auto electrician?
