2010 & 2011 140 TDI differences
Hi all, new user here came across the forum by chance when doin some pre purchase research.
As title says just wandering the difference between the 2010 and 2011 140 tdi. A lot of the 2011 are bluemotion tech. Was this just brought in for 2011?
Any help is appreciated

Re: 2010 & 2011 140 TDI differences
Yes I seem to recall Bluemotion was introduced in 2010 (for 2011 MY). Not much difference between it and the rgular 140 TDI on the Roc apart from the battery regeneration and stop/start system (which can be disabled on each journey by an internal button by the way) and the badge at the back...

And the gear-change indicator?
Re: 2010 & 2011 140 TDI differences
All manual cars have that don't they? My non Bluemotion Golf Match 122PS certainly did...

Which coincided with the BMT replacing the 140TDI IIRC?
Re: 2010 & 2011 140 TDI differences
Quite possibly - what I was really saying was the gear change indicator is not a Bluemotion exclusive feature - its presumably on the 170TDI manual (non Bluemotion) too - as it was on my 122PS manual Golf.

I can confirm it's on my MY12 170 TDI, for all the use it is:-)Mark V wrote:Quite possibly - what I was really saying was the gear change indicator is not a Bluemotion exclusive feature - its presumably on the 170TDI manual (non Bluemotion) too - as it was on my 122PS manual Golf.

I liked it as it tells you what gear you are in (I know - I should know.. but I still liked it!)
