drivers seat slightly bent

Post by sneakyg »

hi,

i purchased a scirocco under the approved vw used car scheme in march, my drivers seat is now bent (the bit that sticks out about half way up) from my big bum getting in and out of the car, its very annoying and im about to contact vw to say that i fell that it shouldn't happen so quickly and i wouldn't consider it good wear and tear for a car that i have only recently purchased.

before i done this i wanted to find out peoples general views on how i should approach this with vw as upholstery is not generally covered under warranty - so im thinking the sales of goods act - not fit for purpose?

thanks

Not seen anything about bent seats but this link to upholstery wear may be of use when going to the dealer. There are several links about wear as wear of cloth seats on some early cars was of concern.
