Lights not working

Post by eidooo »

Vanity Mirror Lights and Rear Passenger light suddenly stopped working
I've tried to look up the fuse from this post http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/ ... =25&t=7403" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , couldnt find it so i replaced any fuse that refer to a light.
still no good
The center reading lights, footwell and boot light are working fine.

I've tried as well changing the bulbs , but there is no electricity coming to them.

Can you help ?

i am suspecting it is something with the wiring, because the car was in the bodyshop one month ago. it is very hard to go there, in UAE they are super pain in the tailgate ( :D )

Have a look here. Depends on age of the car, but of some of the lights are working it might not be the fuse.

On my diagram this fuse is related to the Horn, I have MY2010 white MFD
And just today morning i've scanned the car with VCDS cause of the airbag warning light, because i changed its fuse as well.
All fine no errors.

i will try to locate the relay they mentioned, because rest of bulbs working fine.

I've changed the relay but still the same

BUT , Today while exploring ETKA , I found that the not working lights "Vanity Mirror Lights and Rear Passenger light" are grouped in 1 wire, which i think is the problem.

I opened the Top console, and found this cable disconnected and damaged !

Disconnected it totally and still all other electronics working fine.

Any idea where it should be connected ? is it gone for good and needs to be replaced ?

I would really appreciate it if someone can open his car top console and compare it to this
