Rattle coming from window air vent
I have a really annoying rattle coming from the front window air vent, the big long vent that sits directly under the front window at the very back of the dash. Im gonna guess its a nightmare to get access too and requires me to remove the whole dash? If anyone is in the know let me know so i can either forget about it or forget about it or forget about it... or maybe try and fix

Have you tried the many rattle solutions people have posted about before
In that area the following are probably worth trying;

Re: Rattle coming from window air vent
When I think about it the amount of rattles that people have had trouble with is ridiculous. Me being one of them I am currently trying to figure out what's causing my drivers door to rattle all of a sudden.

Re: Rattle coming from window air vent
Ok so it seems some silicone spray has solved all my cabin rattles..... I couldn't believe it!
But the rattle / vibration from the front of the car still exists. I have been poking around under the passenger side scuttle panel (not removed just lifted) and I have noticed what seems to be a tray? that looks like it is intended to guide water to the outer part of the car... the problem is this tray is pretty much loose to the point of being not attached to anything. I want to remove the scuttle panel to look properly but it seems pretty stuck to the window. Any advice? I have had a look on google for scuttle panel removal and its hard going.
Update!
So to remove the scuttle panel I had to lift from the very edge of the panel upwards to pop it out of the tight fitting slot - work across towards the middle where the scuttle panel joins the other scuttle panel. Once off it was obvious where the drip tray was meant to attach and I also fitted some mounting (padded) tape under the ECU unit to make it a more snug fit just incase its was that causing the vibration noise.
If I get more vibration the other side scuttle panel is coming off which will be a bigger job as it has the wiper going through...... I think it should just pass over the top of them though. I also cleaned out some leaves and other crap whilst I was at it, so not a bad job and its all back in one piece........ I hope!

Babajang - I think I have the same scuttle panel rattle. When you say the drip tray was obvious where it was meant to attach, was it not on it's monuting or was the mounting not really good enough?
I was thinking it was the scuttle panel vibrating against the tray? I stuck a piece of sponge in there to see if it cured it but only went half way there. I think I need to get it off properly.
I tried to post this just now but seem to have mead a mess, sorry if it comes up twice, go gently I'm a newbie!
