Im new and looking at getting a rocco

Post by Callumy123 »

Hey!!!!

I'm currently the owner of a 2011 C30 T5 230hp and Im looking at getting a rocco. I need something economical as my new job is going to mean lots of miles. All of which are on A roads no motorway and I will be travelling around 70 miles a day :(

I'm not sure what to go for a 1.4 TSI 160 or a 2.0 TDI 170 (second hand)

Also what are your opinions on remapping the 1.4 am I asking for trouble ?

Thanks

Welcome!

Lots on info on here about remapping and economy - just do a wee search. For the economy I'd go for the TDI - you can always have that remapped as well if you want taking it up to about 200hp.

Welcome - I'm new here too and have just ordered a new tdi 170 with DSG that will be delivered in January!

I drove the 140 bhp tdi on my test drive and was pleasantly surprised at its performance so think a 170 bhp will be great fun - the only problem I have is the sound of a 4 cyl diesel (however being sat in it I guess i'll be a little isolated from it!). Some of the MPG figures for derv drinkers I've seen from folk on here look amazing (and this is tank to tank calculations and not via the MPG display)

Drive both and see what you prefer would be my suggestion
