ROC DOWNUNDER NZ BOUND

Post by Paul Denney »

Hi everyone, I have taken the plunge and ordered a new R. I have agonised over this as it will be the first time ever in my new car buying history that I will have changed to another new car within 12 months. I do love my Viper green GT, but is has a few features that were standared on my MK V GTI that are'nt on it and are on the R.
So while mine GT has only done 11,000km, I have gone for a change in colour ( will make it seem like a new car) Rising Blue.
It's s shame they did not introduce a unique colour to the "R" range, such as Firespark.
The cost including the extras I have specced is the equivalent of GBP 28.8K, NZD 72K. An $11k premium over the GT.
From all the UK road tests I have read, I will be something special.

The wait now begins, the dealer has advised it will be early May, just in time for my birthday.

So I have 3 months to sell the "VIper" for the best price I can get.

Will post pics once it lands.
Cheers everyone.
